Mrs. G. Virginia Beene, 95, widow of evangelist and longtime OKC Pastor Rev. Marion Beene, went to be with the Lord March 17, 2015. Mrs. Beene graduated from Okla. A&M, taught public school for 39 years, and was a dedicated Pastor's wife, church pianist, and Bible teacher. She is survived by daughter Cathy (husband Rev. Terry) Strickland; grandson, Philip (wife Danielle) Strickland, great granddaughter Ansley; and granddaughter, Paula Strickland, all of South Carolina. A graveside service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2015, in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, officiated by Reverend Terry Strickland. There will be a receiving of family and friends at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2015, at Southern Hills Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The family requests that you honor Mrs. Beene with the furtherance of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
