Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4-8 PM Saturday & 12-8 PM Sunday with the family receiving friends from 3-5 PM.

Services to celebrate his life will be 10:00 AM, Mon., Dec. 14, 2015 at Bethesda Assembly of God Church, 3101 SW 89th St., OKC.

Wayne, 78, was called to his Heavenly home on Dec. 9, 2015. He was born Sept. 5, 1937 in Midland, TX to Bill & Flora Porter. He Graduated from Capitol Hill H.S. in '56 & later married Darlene Jackson & they enjoyed nearly 58 years together raising a family. Wayne was proud of his 15 years' service at Tinker Air Force Base, where he retired in 2001. In his spare time, Wayne enjoyed fishing, boating & walking & exercising at the YMCA park, & shooting pool at the Moore Senior Citizens Center. He was also a longtime volunteer at Integris SWMC. Preceded in death by his parents, brother Myrl Porter, & son, David. He is survived by his wife, Darlene; daughter-in-law, Donna Porter; children: Susan Emert & husband, Gary; Darla Medaris & husband, Billy; grandchildren, Stephanie Jackson & husband, Ryan; Brandon Porter & wife, Adela; Chris Porter & wife, Mallory; Tiffany Talley & husband, Chris; Taylor, Jordan, & Hunter Medaris; & 8 great-grandchildren: Makayla, Jacoby, Garren & Brayden Jackson , Zackary Emert, Madison Talley, Noelle & Everly Porter.
