Harold Maurice Axton, a resident of Texarkana, Texas passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the age of 81. Mr. Axton was born September 18, 1937, in Dierks, Arkansas, to Lecil and Estaline Axton. During his career years, he worked as a Supervisor Medical Technologist at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City until his retirement. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Axton; his sister, Judy Gillespie & brother in law Jim Gillespie, and his parents. He is survived by his daughter, Teresa Knight and husband, Ronnie of Oklahoma City, OK; granddaughter, Whitney Knight of Oklahoma City, OK; brother, Caroll Axton and wife, Sara of Austin, Texas; sister, Melba Killian and husband Howard of Texarkana, Arkansas; nephew, Steve Killian of Cooper, Texas; niece, Stephanie Francis of Texarkana, Texas and niece Brittany Nugent. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the Pavilion at Heritage Burial Park at South Lakes in Oklahoma City, OK. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or your local humane society. No visitation is scheduled.
