Helen Marie (Smith) Cope was born July 20, 1923 in Wallace, NC the daughter of Jack Johnson and Estelle (Rivenbark) Smith. She completed this life on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at the age of 92.

She is survived by her daughter, Rita "Missy" Yates and her husband Richard of Oklahoma City; her sons, J.E. Cope and his wife Linda of Oklahoma City, Darryl Cope and his wife Judy of Webster, TX and Dwight Cope and his wife Shelly of Medicine Park, OK; her 12 grandchildren and her 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewell E. Cope and her son, Jack Wesley Cope.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the Vondel Smith Mortuary North, 13125 N. MacArthur. Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m., Saturday, December 5th in the First Baptist Church of Piedmont with interment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
