Henry J. Brown died on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at his home in Oklahoma City. He was born April 3, 1924 in Ft. Smith, AR the son of Henry and Martha Brown. He worked for the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) prior to World War II and served in the U.S. Navy during the War. Henry worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for 23 years, the CUNA Mutual Insurance Society (exclusive with credit unions) for 15 years, the Star-Jet Logging and Perforating for 12 years. Henry was a member of the United Methodist Church and was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason. Henry married Virginia Lee Cottrill in 1946 and she preceded him in death in 2011.He was also preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Taylor and Roscoe Brown. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Ansari (Mansour) ; his son, Ron Brown (Gayla); his Grandchildren, Robert Brown, Marcus Roane, Kimberly Bell and Dustin Brown; 3 great Grandchildren and 1 great, great Grandchild. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 14th in the Vondel Smith Mortuary North Chapel, 13125 N. MacArthur Blvd. Interment with military honors will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
