Howard Kent Beaver passed away peacefully at home on July 23, 2026 in Oklahoma City at the age of 66. He was surrounded by the love of his family, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, and unwavering devotion to those he loved most.

Howard was born in California on August 22, 1959 born to Richard Sr. and Barbara Beaver before spending his childhood and young adult years in Iowa. In February 1989, he married Sandra Arfsten, and together they built a life in Oklahoma City where he was a devoted husband, proud father, and an even prouder papa.

He is survived by his wife of more than 37 years, Sandra Beaver; his daughters and spouses, Kristin & Jimmy Duggins, Kathy Beaver, and Kim & Jacob Waterman; and the lights of his life, his grandchildren: Blake & Taylor, Ben, Blair, Kalea, Koko, James, and Mason. Nothing brought Howard more joy than spending time with his grandchildren, who were truly his greatest pride and greatest accomplishment.

He is also survived by his siblings: his older brother, Richard Jr; his sisters, Sheri, Kris, Tina, Brenda, and many nieces and nephews.

Howard appreciated life’s simple pleasures. He could often be found with a fishing pole in hand, working on his or other yards, country music playing in the background, a Mountain Dew nearby, and, more often than not, a cigarette in hand. His other favorite pastime was watching his grandkids at their different sporting events. Recently, he developed a passion for golf and enjoyed playing with his son in laws and grandsons. More than anything, though, he treasured time spent with his family. Whether sharing stories, celebrating milestones, or simply enjoying one another’s company, those moments meant the world to him.

Howard will be remembered for his quiet strength, his love for his family, and the countless memories he created with those fortunate enough to know him. His legacy lives on through the family he loved so deeply, and he will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Barb Beaver, nephew Johnny Ray, and his in-laws, Gordon & Jean Arfsten.
