IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Hoyt Eskridge
Estes
April 13, 1928 – December 14, 2015
Hoyt, 87, went to celebrate Christmas with Christ on Dec 14, 2015. He was born April 13, 1928 in OKC, OK to Henry A. & Lillie Mae Estes. On Aug 2, 1947 he married the love of his life, Betty Maxine Lawrence and this union of marriage was blessed with 2 daughters.
Hoyt worked for ONG as an accounting manager and retired after 37 years of dedicated service. He also enjoyed officiating football & basketball games at the high school & college level for 29 years and was inducted into the OK Officials Hall of Fame in 1990.
Hoyt Estes, a man of passion, generosity & love, leaves a legacy to his family and to all who have ever spent time with him. Hoyt, Honey, Daddy & Granddaddy are his many names. He had many loves & passions: his family, his golf game, birthdays, travel, hard work but above all, he loved Christ! Hoyt spent his whole life purposefully filling it with the goodness of Christ only to have it pour out to all he met. He invested time, love & money to spread God's word, as a loyal church member, a prayerful Gideon, and a loving & passionate patriarch of his family. Today, as tears fall from our eyes, our hearts shall rejoice because Hoyt is home, playing a Heavenly round of golf & gearing up for the best birthday ever, that of his Savior! Merry Christmas! We love you Honey, Daddy & Granddaddy!
All because 2 people fell in love, Hoyt leaves behind his loving wife of 68 years, Betty of the home; daughters: Marsha Black & husband, Byron and Valerie Tiller & husband, Jack; 6 grandchildren: Brent Black and wife, Rachel, Brad Black and wife, Tiffany, Annie Coffey and husband, John, Melissa Long and husband, Bryan, Nathan Crose and wife, Suzanne, & Emily Anderson and husband, Shawn; 14 great grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren: Tanner Long, Addison Black, Bailey Long, Faith Black, Joe Black, Thomas Coffey, Carter Long, Hoyt Coffey, Addie Anderson, Emma Black, Karsten Black, Lucy Coffey, Chloe Crose, and Tristyn Crose; Sister-in-law, Joyce Harris;.
