IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Hubert Sterling
Sullivan
September 8, 1936 – August 17, 2024
Hubert "Hoot" Sterling Sullivan, 87, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 17th, 2024 in Oklahoma City.
Hubert was born September 8,1936 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma to Marion Sullivan and Edna Self. His family relocated to Oklahoma City, where he grew up and attended school. Hubert graduated from Southeast High School in 1955 and following graduation he enlisted in the Air National Guard.
Hubert married the love of his life, Memory Marcello, on April 8, 1961 in Denison, Texas, and they were blessed with three sons, Robert, Jim and Steve. Hubert and his family were faithful members at Exchange Avenue Baptist church for many years. Later on in life, Hubert and Memory joined the congregation at Crestview Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. Throughout his life, Hubert's commitment to his faith was unwavering. He served his church community in various roles over the decades, most recently as a respected deacon at Crestview.
In 1981, Hubert opened his own printing press company in Oklahoma City, Image Color Press, which he operated until his retirement in 2003. For 22 years, he poured his heart and soul into the business. Hubert took immense pride in building a family business.
Hubert's greatest joy came from his relationship with the Lord and his family. He and his wife, Memory, cherished their early morning Bible study sessions, laying a foundation of faith that guided their lives. His grandchildren fondly remember weekend tractor rides, a tradition that brought laughter and created lasting memories on the family property. He enjoyed traveling and became even more adventurous after he retired. Hoot was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and a faithful servant of God. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched, the faith he shared, and the love he gave so freely.
