Oklahoma. She was born the daughter of Logan Gene and Lola Mae (Johnson) Clarkston, on October 28, 1949, in Oklahoma City Oklahoma. Ida attended Oklahoma City Public Schools, graduating from Southeast High School, in 1967. Soon after High School she started working as a secretary for the Highway Patrol, in 1968. On August 30, 1968, Ida married Ronald Ray Potts, the love of her life. Ida and Ron were blessed with their two children, Richard and Raina. She then accepted a position with the Department of Justice and soon found her passion as a legal secretary with the IRS, retiring in 2005. In her spare time, she was an avid Barbie Doll collector, alongside Ron’s Hot Wheel collection. She enjoyed shopping and dragging Ron to the casino. Most of all, Ida loved spending time with her family. She was all about her kids and her grandchildren, but the love for her great grandsons was top notch. Everyone called her Nana.

Ida was preceded in death by her, parents, her brothers, Ricky and Larry Clarkston and grandson, Hunter Colton Fischer.

She leaves lasting memories with her loving husband of 57 years, Ronald Ray Potts; son, Richard Potts of Wichita, Kansas; daughter, Raina Fischer and husband, Steve of Mustang, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Katelyn McDonald and husband, Tyler of Mustang, Oklahoma; Abby Fischer of Mustang, Oklahoma; Ryan Potts of Tuttle, Oklahoma; Rebecca Mijares and husband, Ricardo of Houston, Texas; great grandsons, Cooper and Colter McDonald of Mustang, Oklahoma.
