Ila Mardell (Ford) Lawhead was born January 12, 1938 in Agra, Oklahoma the daughter of William Hiram and Lorene (Medley) Ford. She completed this life on Friday, December 30, 2022 in Oklahoma City at the age of 84.

Ila was a regulatory analyst in the oil and gas industry. She returned to Oklahoma city in August 2022 to make her home at Epworth Ville.

She is survived by her daughter, Terry Sparling and her husband Don of Edmond, OK; her sister, Jeanene Lange of Oklahoma City; her brother Robert Ford of Stroud, OK; her grandchildren, Brett Sparling, Kyle Sparling and Grant Sparling; her great grandchildren, Mia Sparling, Zoey Sparling, Harrison Sparling, Isla Sparling, Reagan Sparling, Mackenzie Sparling, Tyler Sparling and "Baby" Sparling.

A memorial service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, January 21, 2023 in the Vondel Smith Mortuary North Chapel, 13125 N. MacArthur Blvd.
