Obituary

Jackie, 89, went to be with the Lord on May 16th, 2026. She was born on July 6th, 1936, in Mt. Pleasant, Arkansas, to Lloyd and Nina Ruminer. She graduated from Southeast High School in 1954. Jackie and her roller-skating partner, Leroy Tinsley, were married in 1955. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Leroy; her parents, Lloyd and Nina Ruminer; and her brother, Donal Ruminer.

Jackie worked various jobs using her seamstress skills and then worked for General Motors until retirement. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ for her entire life. At church, she taught Bible classes for children and helped with Meals on Wheels and the church visitation program. She especially enjoyed working in the church sewing room, making quilts for donation to various organizations. She was always hospitable, welcoming people into her home and cooking for them. She loved entertaining family and making guests feel like family as well. She also loved to sew for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, making matching church dresses and many quilts for them.

Jackie is survived by her children: Loyd Tinsley and wife, Mooney, Allen Tinsley and wife, Melissa and Lesa Barker and husband, Greg; grandchildren: Mike Tinsley and wife, Lane, Erin Jacknitsky and husband, Chris, Lindsay Benefield, Taylor Jones and husband, Nick, Tara Brady and husband, Tyler, Paige Tinsley and Hudson Tinsley; great-grandchildren: Elijah, Sam, Violet, Bodhi, Britton, Jack, Zeke, Millie, Miles and Grace; and her sister: Ramona Hannah.
