There will be no public viewing.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 19 at the South Colonial Chapel.

Interment will follow at Garden Grove Cemetery.

James Lloyd Jackson, 80, passed from this life Wednesday November 13, 2024. He was born February 20, 1944 the son of Fred Lloyd and Ora Janet (Stewart) Jackson. After graduating from Star Spencer High School in 1962, Lloyd proudly served his country in the US Army. He was married to Sonya Faye Bland Young and together they enjoyed traveling with friends on motorcycle trips. Lloyd also enjoyed classic cars. He worked as a Regional Manager for Jack's Merchandise. Lloyd also worked about 20 years for Equipment Technology, Inc.(ETI) as his "Retirement Job". He was a lifelong Baptist. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; step-son, Jason Young; brother, Ronnie Jackson; and brother-in-law, Cliff Powell. He leaves cherished memories with his wife, Sonya Jackson; sister, Barbara Turner; and sister-in-law, Tonya Powell, and his precious little Dachshund, Abby.
