Robinson May 29, 1933 - July 16, 2015 OKLAHOMA CITY Jim passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015, in his Warr Acres home, surrounded by his loved ones. Jim was the son of James E. & Florence M. Robinson and brother of Don Robinson. He attended Longfellow grade school; West Junior High; and Muskogee Central High School, where he was Captain of the basketball team that made it all the way to the state championship. In 1955, Jim graduated with honors from The University of Oklahoma with a major in finance and minor in business management. He was proud member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity while working to put himself through school. After graduating from OU, he joined the United States Marine Corps, where he was a first lieutenant. Several of his many accomplishments were President of the Southwestern Men's Apparel Association from 1972 to 1975. He made the Million Dollar Club while employed by Ratner Clothing and received the Outstanding Service Award in 2006 while working for AMSAN. Jim married Linda Lee Blanden, of Toledo, Ohio. They had three children, James Scott, Michael Jay, and Lesley Lee. They made their home in Dallas, Texas. Years later, while attending his Muskogee High School Reunion, he rekindled his friendship with high school sweetheart, Patsy Pierce Acers. They married in 1981 and combined their families. Patsy's oldest daughters, Alison and Angie, had already left "the nest," leaving five children that barely knew one another to blend into "the Brady bunch" without the maid! Jim had three passions in life: his family, his Sunday School class and OU FOOTBALL!! Jim will be missed by his longtime love, Patsy Pierce Acers; oldest son, Scott and Pamela Booze and granddaughter, Gabrielle; son, Mike and wife Susannah, grandsons, Austen and Brady; and daughter, Lesley, who selflessly cared for him during his illness; his stepdaughters, Alison Jetton and husband Jim, Angie Crisp and husband Steve, Dr. Ann Warn and husband Dr. Brett Warn, and Ashley Acers.
