James "Jim" Virgil Torres went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at the age of 52. He was born January 19, 1958 in Oklahoma City to his parents, Gus and Virgie Mae (Owen) Torres. Jim dedicated his life to serving and protecting the Oklahoma City community by working as an OKC Police officer for 28 years before retiring in 2010. At the time of his retirement, Jim was a Master Sergeant in the Traffic Investigations Division and was a highly respected officer. He will be deeply missed.

Step-daughter, Amy;
Mother, Virgie Mae Torres;
Sister, Virginia Cole and her husband, Harold;
Two Granddaughters: Emily and Abbey
