After college, he started work for Magnolia Oil Company, which later became Mobil Oil. This job moved him around from Kansas, Texas, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Colorado. His activities included being a member of the Optimist Club in Denver, working with high school students through Junior Achievement in Okla. City, and the Petroleum Club in Texas. He also enjoyed continuing square dancing, playing bridge and 42. Jim is preceded in death by his wife, Fran Tysor, his parents, Velda and Jim Tysor, and his brother Chan Tysor.
