Janet Elaine Caison, 60, of Moore, Oklahoma, was called home to Jesus on Friday, May 20, 2011. Beloved educator at Westmoore High School, countless students were touched by her wit and passion and called her both teacher and friend. Jan was a life-long teacher having taught at Waipahu High School, Oahu, Hawaii and Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College in Moore, Ok. Jan was active in her church and community, singing on the worship team and coaching numerous sports teams. She was widely praised for both her athletic and academic achievements. Jan is preceded in death by her father, Weldon Wood. Dearly loved by her husband, Gary Caison, daughters Kirsten Spears (husband Josh) and Keely Steger (husband Charles) and mother, Alice Wood. Jan's favorite role was as "Gran Jan" to her six beloved grandchildren: Aiden, Jack and Bennett Spears and Noah, Sam and Austen Steger. Jan is also survived by her siblings, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Her life will be celebrated, Tuesday, 3:00 p.m. May 24, 2011, at CrossPointe Church, 2601 24th Avenue SE, Norman, OK.
