Janet L. Harper, 79, went to be with her Heavenly father on Friday October 28th, 2022. The daughter of Byron L. Woods and Beatrice Woods (King), she was born 07/17/1943 in Duncan, Oklahoma. She graduated from Dibble High School & continued her education at Central State College, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics. In 1964 she married her sweetheart, Danny Harper and together shared more than 58 years of marriage. This union of marriage was blessed with 2 children. In addition to being a loving wife, devoted mother and dedicated homemaker, Janet also worked as a Math Teacher for various schools in Oklahoma & Kansas, her favorite being Hefner Junior High School. Janet was very passionate about cooking, gardening, sewing, quilting, knitting & crocheting and fishing with her dad, but nothing was as important as being with her family whom she loved endlessly. Janet was known for her love for teaching and her delicious recipes. She will be fondly remembered for her gracious, warm, all-loving heart. She loved and cared deeply for her family and she will be held close to our hearts each day.
She was preceded in death by her:
Parents; Byron L. Woods and Beatrice Woods
Siblings, Sandra Bishop & Jimmie Woods.
She leaves behind her loving family:
Husband, Danny Harper
2 Children, Michael D. Harper & Teressa Field
3 Grandchildren, Lauren Ashleigh Schoelen, Alexa Schoelen, & Kristen Field.
1 Great Grandchild, Jaxon Mullen
Step mother, Rose Woods
& Several nieces, nephews and cousins;
Plus Many other extended family & friends.
We would like to send a huge thank you to the team of doctors & nurses at SW Integris Hospital that cared for her and showed our family love & support. We would also like to thank the Integris Hospice House for their exceptional care & attention. A Celebration of Life will be held in her memory Sunday October 30th, 2022 at 2pm in the afternoon at 21751 N. Horseshoe Road Edmond, OK 73012
