IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jared Scott
Ford
January 18, 1987 – August 27, 2023
Jared Scott Ford
January 18, 1987 - August 27, 2023
Jared Scott Ford, Oklahoma City, born on January 18, 1987, a beloved son, grandson, brother and Dad, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Sunday, August 27, 2023.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul Ford and Donald and Thelma Ledet. He is survived by his grandmother Rosie Ford, parents Bradley and Jodie Ford, his sister Alissa (Austin) Patterson, his much-loved children Cai (Sara) Kitchell, Audrey, Ethan, Scarlett and Evelyn (Rachael) Ford, nephews John and Michael Patterson, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He is finally free of the bonds of addiction that held him captive for so long.
Jared was unfailingly kind, witty, charming, talented, smart, and hilarious. Everyone who knew him loved him. He was easy to love.
Though Jared struggled for years, many, many people credit him for their own sobriety. And many more credit him for their faith in God.
In Jared's sobriety, he loved Jesus. He loved God and he loved to pontificate and talk theology. He loved to learn about the universe and the incredible ways God made it. And Jared understood a lot of it as he read textbook after textbook just for fun. He was a talented singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He will be greatly missed, especially by his beautiful children.
The family wants to thank the Gospel of Life Disciples (GOLD) home for their tender and loving care of Jared in his last days.
