IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jean
Logsdon--Brown
September 8, 1926 – November 3, 2012
Services for Jean will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, November 5, at the South Colonial Chapel. Interment will be in Liberal, Kansas, her home for many years. For the past several weeks, Jean had been receiving care and hospice at Meadowlake Estates. She was born in Borger, Texas and remained in that area until 1945 when she married Rex Logsdon of Guymon, Oklahoma. They made their home in Liberal and had two daughters, Karen Logsdon Britton and Janet Logsdon Kilgore, both of Oklahoma City. Rex passed away in 1965 and several years later, she married Coy Brown until his passing. She is survived by her two daughters, her son-in-law, Dale Britton, her grandchildren, Cristine, Kelle, Rex, and Brad, and her great-grandchildren, Nick, Kaylee, Wesley, Shelby, Lyla, and Myka. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Honey. She was the remaining sibling of her parents and was also predeceased by her great-granddaughter, Olivia Peerson. Jean was a member of the Hillcrest
Christian Church, and remained active until her health declined. She retired from employment after 25 years of geological bookkeeping and spent her retirement tending her life, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She stayed active with church activities. She will be missed so very deeply but will be pain free and in the company of her loved ones that went before her. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to her church, Hillcrest Christian, 1501 SW 59th Street, Oklahoma City 73139, or Boys Town in Amarillo, Texas.
