Jeffrey Lee Martin was born June 18, 1971, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, the son of Robert Barry and Sandra Lynn (Brewer) Martin. He went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at the age of 54.
Jeff grew up in Ponca City, Oklahoma. As a child he loved playing soccer, camping, and going on vacations with his family. Jeff made many lifelong friends during this time. He went on to graduate from Ponca City High School in 1989.
He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Central Oklahoma. Jeff married Laura Elizabeth Krider on August 6, 2005, in Ponca City. They made their home in Oklahoma City with their two children. Jeff was employed at the Hartford Insurance Company as an insurance agent.
Jeff had many friends and was always up for an adventure. He loved being outdoors, going to the lake or the river, fishing, and golfing. Jeff also spent his time watching sports, especially his beloved Atlanta Braves and Texas Longhorns. However, Jeff's greatest joy was being with his children and watching them grow.
Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Martin; and his mother and father-in-law, Peggy and John Krider.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Laura and their children Devin and Hannah; his father, Robert Martin of Round Rock, TX; his sister, Stephanie Martin of Gatesville, TX; his brother, Cidney Martin and his wife, Ellen of Tulsa, OK; his nephew, Allen Martin of Tulsa; his brother-in-law, Andy Krider and his wife Traci of Tulsa.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 24th at Newchurch, 9201 N. Rockwell, Oklahoma City, Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 4350 Will Rogers Parkway Ste. 400, Oklahoma City, OK 73108
Family directed memorial service. All floral deliveries should be taken to the church.
