Obituary

Beloved daughter, sister and aunt, Jenny Lee Ray, passed away on April 24, 2021 in Oklahoma City. Born on September 10, 1959 in Tulsa, to Don Lowry and Norma June Ray, Jenny attended both Southwestern Oklahoma State University and Oklahoma State University and was a lifelong fan of OSU Cowboy athletics. She spent her career focused on the healthcare/health insurance industry, working in the field of medical billing and healthcare claims. Adored by her nieces and nephews, Aunt Jenny could often be found cheering in the stands at basketball, football, baseball and softball games or celebrating their many academic, personal and professional accomplishments. She was also known as a competitive "Joker Board" partner and a pretty decent setter at family volleyball games. One of her favorite things was to go fishing with her brothers and their families. She also made a mean cheeseball, crudité plate and her macaroni and cheese was legendary at all holiday gatherings. Jenny will be missed by and is survived by her siblings – Bill Ray and his wife, Sally, of Cypress, TX; Kevin Ray and his wife, Diane, of Edmond, OK; Donna Bain and her husband, Ronnie, of Cordova, TN; David and his wife, Cyndy, of Collierville, TN; plus, two nieces and 5 nephews and dozens of aunts, uncles and cousins. Her brother, Steven, and both her parents preceded her in death. She will be interred at Kingfisher Memorial Cemetery near her family members. A private graveside service will be held soon. In lieu of flowers, Jenny would have liked for you to make donations to one of the following organizations: the National Kidney Foundation, the American Diabetes Association or the Wounded Warrior Project.
