A memorial service to celebrate Jerry's life will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 31, 2020 at Vondel L. Smith & Son Mortuary South Colonial Chapel. Jerald "Jerry" Patrick John, 57, of Oklahoma City, OK passed away on January 25, 2020. Jerry was born June 12, 1962 to Bobby and Mary John in Van Nuys, California. Jerry attended Sacred Heart Elementary and went on to Mount St. Mary High school in Oklahoma City where he graduated. He was active in football and band. He also played as a drummer in a band and enjoyed life. He graduated from Frances Tuttle with his associates' degree in Respiratory Therapy. He worked as a respiratory therapist at Integris Southwest Medical Hospital for over 25 years and recently he worked for the Kindred Hospital for 6 years. He loved animals but was very much a dog person. Jerry will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Jerry is survived by his brother, Lance John and wife, Kristie; sister, Barbara Blattler and husband, Matt; and many cousins, friends, and nephews.
