Jeri Lee Holland, beloved wife, devoted mother, doting grandmother, loving sister and loyal friend, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, February 22, 2023 at the age of 74 years old. The daughter of Omalee Althea (Albers) and J.D. Rainbow, Jeri was born on November 5, 1948 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Jeri grew up in the Oklahoma City area and attended Oklahoma City Schools. In 1966, Jeri graduated from U.S. Grant High School, where she was active in the Pep Club. After high school, Jeri attended Oklahoma State University (OSU). She met a handsome young man by the name of Jerry R. Holland and the two became inseparable. They were united in marriage on August 24, 1968 and this union was blessed with the birth of a son, Seth and a daughter, Raylee. Jeri devoted her life to being a loving wife, devoted mother, and dedicated homemaker, always putting the needs of her family and serving the Lord and others first and foremost. During her work years, Jeri served as Miss Liberty for Liberty National Bank, Customer Service Manager for John A Brown, Branch Manager for Sooner Federal Savings and Loan, Secretary for Moore West Junior High, and before her retirement she served as an Executive Assistant to three Oklahoma State Senators. For many years, the Holland family enjoyed worshiping and fellowship at Hillcrest Christian Church. Known for her skill of organization and well-respected for her candor, Jeri had a lively personality and this steadfast woman will be deeply missed each day.
Jeri was preceded in death by her:
parents, J.D. & Omalee Althea Rainbow.
Jeri is survived by her:
husband of 54 years, Jerry R. Holland of the home;
son, Seth Holland and his wife, Jennifer;
daughter, Raylee Butler and her husband, Michael;
eight grandchildren: Evie, Pike, Emery, Ethan, K.K., Elijah, Nixon, and Elizabeth, to whom Jeri was the most loving "G.G."; brother, Terry Rainbow and his wife, Cynthia;
nieces & nephews: Catherine Burris, Chris Burris, Jackson Rainbow and Blakelie Rainbow;
as well as many other extended family and dear friends.
