The service for Jesse Elwin Smith will be held at Shartel Church of God 10 AM Monday 11/8/2010.

SMITH, SR., Jesse Elwin, 95, went to be with the Lord on Nov. 4, 2010. He was born Feb. 6, 1915 in Butler, OK to Theodore & Mary Smith. On November 2, 1934, Elwin married Juanita Carter. This year they celebrated 76 years of marriage. Elwin provided a warm & loving home for his family by working as a bus driver for OKC public transportation for 42 years. For many years he was very active in the Capitol Hill Church of God and the last few years attended the Shartel Church of God. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Kenneth Wayne Smith, 5 brothers and 1 sister. He leaves behind his loving wife Juanita; Son, J.E. Smith, Jr. & wife, Jeannie; son, Ted Smith & wife, Betty; daughters, Joyce Elaine Boring and Barbara Ruth Goodman & husband, Rick; 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Elwin will be dearly missed by his loving family and many friends.
