She arrived in Oklahoma City as one of two on October 15, 1917. Petite and strong she grew and was the one who survived. Although educated at OCU, it was life and her experiences that provided her with her smarts, wisdom and many talents. A true domestic goddess, she loved her homes, which over the years were lovely and many…Colorado, Arizona, but always returning home to Oklahoma. She created beauty and order wherever she was. She lived to see the arrival of 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a great-great grandson. Now reunited with her husband, Harlan, of 63 years, we wonder 'will she be telling him how to drive'? We, being their children Van and Sammy Bumpas of Edmond, OK, Kris Larrabee of Liberal, KS and Sue Lyn Thomas of Corvallis, OR. Without a call to help her pack, she slipped quietly out the door on June 5 and headed home to be in the most beautiful garden ever and with the birds she so loved and enjoyed.
