Jessie Ann Coit, our beloved Mother and Nana, went home to be with our Lord on August 2, 2014. She was born October 9, 1922 to Reverend Edward V. Bewley and Jessie Dean DeMoss Bewley in Tulsa Oklahoma. She was the eldest of 3 children including her brother John E. Bewley and sister Vera Cosette Bewley Moeller. Ann and her family formed a gospel quartet and sang at many churches on Sunday afternoons. During World War II she worked at Tinker Field. After the war she worked for the Oklahoman and L & S Bearing. Ann married Donald D. Coit April 6, 1947 and 7 years later they opened the first of 3 Coit's Drive Ins which they owned and operated until 2012.. She was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church for over 50 years during which time she was a member of the Wedding Ring Class, a 3rd grade Sunday School teacher and played the piano for her Sunday School Class for several years. Ann and Don were members of Quail Creek Country Club where they spent many a happy day on the golf course. Ann was very competitive and was a champion golfer with 2 holes in one and many a tournament victory. She was also very active in the Oklahoma City community through her work in Oklahoma City Hospitality Club and at the state capitol in the Senate typing pool. She had 3 children Bill B. Coit, D'Anne Coit and Cosette Coit Pruitt. She is preceeded in death by her husband, Don Coit and daughter D'Anne Coit, her parents and siblings. She is survived by her son Bill, daughter Cosette, 6 grandchildren and 9 great children. Ann wanted to say to everyone- It was a beautiful life! But it is time to say good-by, God Bless and I am going to be with all my family who has gone before and Mr."C'. Love you!
