Vondel Smith Mortuary (6934 S. Western Ave) Jessie Isabell McConnell went to be with the Lord on April 22, 2021. She was born on April 1, 1925 in Bokoshe, Oklahoma to Freeman Eary and Myrtle Isabell (Brown) Eary. Jessie married Lewis Cobby McConnell on June 16, 1945 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Together they had three daughters and were married for 44 years, until his death. Jessie had a strong affection for her dogs and her cars, but her greatest love was for her family and the Lord. She was an avid reader and student of the Bible, and she faithfully taught Bible lessons and prayed daily for countless family and friends. She was also an excellent seamstress and baker, and enjoyed sharing these talents with others. Jessie was stubborn, opinionated, and funny, and was considered a dear sister, matriarch, and friend to many. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Donna Jo Shuler, sisters Lake Thomas, Sue Eary, Jill Barnhill, Marlene Hirrill, and brothers Newt Eary and Freeman Eary, Jr. Jessie is survived by two daughters, Linda Gale Shuler, and Cheryl McConnell; grandchildren Katherine Whitney, Dedra Shuler, Beth Mivedor, Rebekah Snodgrass, Anthony Shuler, Andrea Mullins; great-grandchildren Joseph Snodgrass, Matthew Whitney, Lane Whitney, Rachel Barber, Elijah Mivedor, Esther Mivedor; great-great-grandchild Emilia Snodgrass. She leaves behind precious memories with her sister Sybil McConnell, and brothers Loy, Finis, and Argyle Eary. Her family will miss her greatly, but celebrates her life with anticipation of being reunited in the Kingdom of God.
