Jewel passed from her life here on earth Saturday, May 16, 2020 and went to be with her heavenly father and other family members and friends that went before her. She was 96 yrs old, born March 21, 1924 in Stigler, OK to Amos & Nora Williams. On December 28, 1932, she became a big sister to J.T. Williams, her only sibling. After graduating from Sayre High School, she went on to attended OU College for a short time. Entering the work field, she was employed by South Western Bell in Sayre, OK as a switchboard operator. She met D.K. Phipps one day before her 23rd birthday. They were married 10 days later and went on to live a long life together. They had two children together, Karolyn & Roger. She was a woman of many talents, some of which were cooking gourmet meals and sewing, she liked making clothing for her family. She enjoyed a quiet, peaceful and calm atmosphere. She was preceded in death by her: Parents; Husband; Daughter; And Brother; She was survived by her Son, Roger and wife Louise, Grandchildren, Glenn, John & Amber plus 6 grandchildren. Upon arrival to visit her, her most remembered saying was "well, what do you guys know for sure?"
