Jimmie Joe Smith, 88, was born September 24, 1924 in Lexington, Oklahoma to John Ott and Ethel Nannie Thompkins. He died Wednesday May 22, 2013 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Jimmie was U.S. Marines Corps veteran and served during WWII. He was a member of the Southwest Freewill Baptist Church and was retired from the City of Oklahoma City where he served as Chief Construction Inspector. Jimmie enjoyed going fishing and making a garden.

• Sisters, Wanda Odom and Madella O'Neal
• Six grandchildren
• Twelve great grandchildren
