IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jimmie Lee
Spiva
May 11, 1937 – August 3, 2024
Jimmie Lee Spiva left this earth surrounded by her family and joined her heavenly Father on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at the age of 87.
Jimmie was born in Sasakwa, Oklahoma on May 11, 1937 to Williard J. and Velma C. (Davidson) King. She spent her early years in the Sasakwa area until she moved to Moore, Oklahoma.
In 1956, Jimmie graduated from Moore High School. Jimmie married her high school sweetheart, Ralph Edwin Spiva Sr., on August 13, 1954 at the Capitol Hill Church of God. To this union were born five children: Ralph Jr., Marcenna, Robert, Kathy and Patti.
Jimmie raised their family in the Christian faith at Capitol Hill Church of God. After the Capitol Hill Church transitioned, Jimmie began worshiping with the fellowship at Fresh Start Community Church in Moore.
Jimmie had a long career in banking and loan services working for Local Federal Savings & Loan in Oklahoma City most of her career. She retired in the late 80's in order to enjoy more time with her children and grandchildren.
Our mother was the "Perfect Mom". She worked diligently to provide a Christian home in which to raise and nurture us. We were welcomed with her great sense of humor. She was totally invested in our lives and we have such wonderful memories of the many special things she did to make us all feel very "important".
Jimmie possessed many God given talents. She was an exceptional seamstress, making our clothes growing up, crafting costumes for church plays, outfitting our infants rooms with handmade bedding, along with many other handcrafts and leatherwork. Among Jimmie's hobbies, she diligently researched her own and other family's ancestry and genealogy. She was very artistic and creative including painting, remodeling, and repair. Jimmie was also blessed with the God given gifts of patience, acceptance without judgement, insight into other's needs, and of wise counsel to mention a few.
She was preceded in death by her:
Parents;
Husband, Ralph Spiva, Sr.;
Son, Ralph Spiva, Jr.;
Grandson, Tristan Spiva;
Son-in-law, Darrel Plumlee.
Left to cherish her memory are her:
Son; Robert Spiva;
Daughters: Marcenna Graham and husband, Clark; Kathy Plumlee; and Patti Sandefur and husband, Richard;

Along with numerous extended family and friends whose lives she touched.
