Jimmy,77, went to be with the Lord on Jan 6, 2016. Jimmy was born Nov 16, 1938 in Marlow, OK. After graduating from Marlow High School, he later continued his education at UCO, where he earned his degree in Engineering. He married his sweet love, Velma Ruth Monds on September 9, 1960 and this union of marriage was later blessed with a daughter, Tonya, and a son, Kevin. He used his sharp skills and technical knowledge by teaching engineering students the trade at Moore-Norman Vo-Tech and OU courses. When Jimmy wasn't working, he enjoyed motorcycles, working with Boy Scouts, RV travel and fishing. Preceded in death by son, Kevin Wayne Sharp, his parents, Boyd and Opal Sharp and sister, Carolyn Sharp Anthony; he leaves cherished memories with his loving wife, Velma Sharp of the home; daughter, Tonya Ryan & husband, William, of Edmond; 2 granddaughters: Rebecca & Megan Ryan; a special niece, Lee Ann Powell and many other family & friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
