Jirldene Hopper, fondly known as Jery by her family and friends, departed this life on May 3, 2023 at the age of 92. She was born on March 23, 1931 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma to her parents, Moses "Val" and Carrie (Alford) Batchelor. She married the love of her life, Robert Fitzhugh Hopper on November 23, 1947. Jirldene retired from Maclanburg-Duncan Company after 23 years of employment. She was a faithful member of the Tuttle Church of Christ, where she baked cookies for Vacation Bible School and participated in and helped with many different activities throughout the years. Jirldene loved her family with all of her heart. She tried to do anything and everything for her children and grandchildren. She had the time of her life at family gatherings, always laughing and playing games. Some of her favorite activities were playing

Dominoes, working outside in the garden and tending to her flowerbeds.

Jirldene was preceded in death by her parents, Val and Carrie Batchelor; her loving husband,.Robert F.Hopper; son,

Bobby G. Hopper; 5 brothers and 12 sisters.

She is survived by sons, Jimmy R.Hopper (Bettty); Dana Hopper (Cindy); Daughters, Robbie L.(Gary) Geib; Denise (Terry) Burr;

daughter-in-law, Ellen Hopper; 18 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
