J.L. Holliday was called to his Heavenly home on March 27, 2014 at the age of 88 years old. He was born August 8, 1925 in Ada, Oklahoma to Jessie Lee and Alice (Brumley) Holliday. J.L. was a retired letter carrier with the US Postal Service. He was a member of Southwest Baptist Church for over 56 years. J.L. served his country in World War II participating in the Rhineland Central European Campaign seeing action in Germany. He was awarded the World War II Victory Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Ribbon, the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Ribbon and two Bronze Service Stars. He married Willa Bishop on August 20, 1948 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. J.L. loved sports and loved to bowl and play golf. He coached Little League Baseball for many years.
J.L. was preceded in death by:

• Sister, Wileda Holliday
• Brother, Manuel Holliday
• And sister, Wilena Pogue,
He is survived by:
• His wife of 66 years, Willa
• Daughter, Beverly Torres
• Son, Rod Holliday and wife, Dana
• Brother, Jerry Holliday and wife June
• Grandchild, Ashleigh Scruggs and husband, Jeff
• And great-grandchildren, Baylor & Emory
