Joan Livingston Shock was born February 10, 1942 in Denver, Colorado the daughter of Gertrude Lynette Kumleh and Wallace Hanger Livingston, Jr.. She completed this life at her home in Oklahoma City on September 26, 2024 at the age of 82.

Being the daughter of a physician, Joan chose a career as a Medical Technologist and a chemist working in a number of laboratories throughout her career. She was a lifelong Episcopalian.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Wallace "Wally" H. Livingston, Jr. and Gertrude "Trude" Shoup; and her husband, Harold "Bud" Shock.

Joan is survived by her sons, M. Lee Stephens and his wife Tiffany and Jay Russell Marsh and his wife, Patience; her grandchildren, Beau Stevens, Kaden Marsh, Kia Marsh and Keely Marsh; and her brother, Wallace Hanger Livingston, Jr. and his wife Virginia of Littleton, CO
