JoAnna Trimble, fondly known as "Nana", went to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at the age of 84. The daughter of Ruel Arian Hux and Lucille Rose (Cooney) Hux, JoAnna was born on July 31, 1940 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. JoAnna grew up attending Capitol Hill Schools where she was active in Home Economics. JoAnna met and fell in love with her handsome sweetheart, Thomas O'Neil Trimble. The two were united in holy matrimony on June 6, 1955. This union of marriage was blessed with four children. Being a wife, mother and Nana was the ultimate joy for JoAnna. She was a dedicated homemaker and supporter her husband and children faithfully in all of their endeavors. For many years, the Trimble family was active members of Capitol Hill Full Gospel in Moore, OK where her husband served as a Deacon for many years and she was active in many different capacities of the church life. Nothing was as important to JoAnna as being there for her family, church and fulfilling the needs of others, whatever that may be. She enjoyed hobbies such as painting, sewing, and traveling. Known for her wonderful cooking and generous hospitality, JoAnna will be fondly remembered as a loving, thoughtful and generous woman. She loved and cared deeply for her family and she will be held close to our hearts each day.
She was preceded in death by her:
Parents, Lucille and Ruel Hux;
Daughters, Sherrie Trimble and Deborah Chambers;
Husband of 49 years, Thomas "Tommy" O'Neil Trimble, Sr. in 2004;
Sons-in-law, Bill Chambers and Mark Wilson;
Siblings: Leota Tomberlin, Ruel Hux, Jr., Wanda Baker, and Donald Hux;
She leaves behind her loving family:
Son, Thomas Trimble, Jr. and his wife, Melanie of Moore, OK;
Daughter, Kathy Wilson of Palmer, Alaska;
8 Grandchildren: Mark Aaron Wilson and wife Jamie, Katrina Wasson and husband Scott, Colby Wilson and wife Elaine, Cameron Roat and wife Amber, Patrick Trimble, Emily Mitchell and husband Jason, Dylan Trimble, Kassidy "Bo" Trimble;
Step-Grandchildren: Bri Rowley and Morgan Schmidt and husband Aaron
Great Grandchildren: Kyla Harrison, Chloe Wasson, Corbin Wasson, Avery Wilson, Logan Wilson, Jaylee Mitchell, Luci Wasson, Bella Trimble, Addie Wasson;
Step Great Grandchildren: Thomas Rowley, Michael Schmidt, and Judson Schmidt
Several nieces, nephews and cousins;
Many other extended family & friends.
Viewing will be held 4-8 PM Monday with family greeting friends from 6-8 PM Monday at the funeral home. Funeral service to celebrate and honor her life will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at The Hill Church, 2928 Woodlawn Drive, Moore, OK 73160 with burial following at Reshaven Memory Gardens.
