Don Green, 70, of Oklahoma City passed away Thursday, September 23rd, 2021 at Norman Regional Healthplex. Don was born to Marcus and Iva Green in Hugo, Oklahoma on March 6, 1951. Don was raised in Garvin, Oklahoma and Brush, Colorado. He graduated from Brush High School in 1969. After high school Don attended Denver Technical University and later attended Dallas Institute of Funeral Service.
Don was gifted with a special type of leadership that allowed him to excel in several types of industries and organizations. He was active in local government and held several offices throughout the years. Don was a truck driver, EMT, Funeral Director, Vice-Mayor, Mayor, City Manager, Business Owner, Restaurant General Manager and Director of Safety and DOT for the oilfield.
In 1997, Don married his Pretty Girl, Teresa. Together they have been blessed with 5 children, Stephen, Stephanie, Spencer, Heather and Kyle. While they love their children dearly, all who know them really knows that their most prized possessions are their 5 grandchildren, Tyler, Taylor, Weston, Donna and Brooclynn.
Don loved working on hot-rod cars, woodworking, fishing, watching OU football and keeping his swimming pool clean for his grandkids. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was most happy when his house was full with all of their kids and grandkids.
Don will always be remembered for his contagious smile, his jokes, his laugh and most of all, his gift of always making you feel like part of the family. Not only was he a great dad to his kids, he was also known to be a father-figure for so many others. He was the best at being a mentor, a shoulder to lean on or just a good hug and I love you to make everything right again in the world.

His wife of 24 years, Teresa Green;
Sons: Stephen Green, Spencer Green, Kyle Allen and his wife, Rayna;
Daughters: Stephanie Gilmore and her husband Matt and Heather Allen;
Sisters: Karen Myers and Janet Skaggs and her husband Kenneth;
Brother, Scott Green and his wife Stephani;
Grandchildren: Tyler and Taylor Gilmore, Weston and Donna Green and Brooclynn Harris;
As well as many extended loving family and friends.
