Obituary

John David Abston left this earth on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 in New Orleans, Louisiana. John was born in Corpus Christi, Texas to Billy Ted and Suzi Abston (Clowers) on February 4, 1975. The family moved to Oklahoma City and John attended Edmond Memorial High School, when it was the only high school in Edmond. He went on to attend the University of Oklahoma, where he pledged Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity.

John was always a good athlete. He played soccer from an early age and later played semi-pro soccer in Los Angeles. John was a hard worker, always having a job, from working at an athletic shoe store to bar tending, or management of a restaurant in Oklahoma City. In 2015, John and Jackie moved to New Orleans where they owned and operated the NOLA Tee Shirt of the Month Club, with two retail stores, one being in the French Quarter.

John was a devoted brother to sister Maggie, they were inseparable. No one will ever know what a kind, caring, loving person he was. John was always true to his convictions and never wavered in his love of the Lord.
