John Edward Hunt, of Oklahoma City, died Thursday, June 17, 2021 at the age of 92. The son of John and Ollie Hunt, he was born on July 31, 1928 in Pleasant View, TN. A Korean Conflict veteran, John served with the 40th Infantry Division; 40th Signal Company, and the 160th Infantry Regiment Communications Section. He received a BLS and MPA from OU. He spent 34 years in the Air Force and Army active duty and National Guard/Reserve units. He is a retired Air Force Lt. Colonel and spent 40 years with the FAA. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Elizabeth Hunt. John is survived by his children John & Jamie Hunt of Tulsa, OK; Mark & Sharon Hunt of OKC; Leo & Carol Hunt of S. Pasadena, CA; Randy & Melissa Hunt of OKC; James & Charlene (Hunt) Crumpley of OKC; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and a sister, Ruth Scott of Dickson, TN and countless other loving family and friends. The following scripture John believed and followed for many years, "Jesus said unto her, "I am the Resurrection and the Life, he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live."
