JENKINS, John Delmar, born 3/4/1925 in Mangum, OK, passed into eternity on 2/15/2011 after a lengthy battle with cancer. John was a proud veteran of WWII, having served in the U.S. Navy. He loved to travel, Alaska being his favorite place. John was preceded in death by his parents James and Nannie Jenkins, five brothers, one sister, and sons, Michael and Sidney. He is survived by his wife Virble; daughter, Rita and husband Charles; sons, Euen and wife Della, Harvey and wife Mary, and John; as well as six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Dad lived a long life and he will be greatly missed. Viewing will be Thursday and Friday from 4-8 PM at Vondel Smith South. Services are 10:00 AM Saturday at Vondel Smith's South Colonial Chapel.
