MARTINEZ, John S., 89, of OKC, passed away Jan. 7, 2011. He was born May 10, 1921 in OKC, OK to Jose Martinez and Mercedes Solis. John worked as a bank auditor. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Carmen Martinez; brother, Raymundo Martinez; sister, Pauline Baltierra; grandchild, Danielle N. Martinez. Survivors include his older sister, Margaret Martinez; wife, Paula M. Martinez; sons, John D., Joseph J., Daniel A., Michael A., Luis M., Tomas G., and Philip R. Martinez; daughter, Raquel L. Martinez; 14 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; family friend, Merrilee Foreman; and all the "kids" who knew him as "Dad" and "GranPa". The family extends its loving gratitude to Mrs. June Riley for all her love and care. Viewing will be Sunday from 12-8 PM at the funeral home. Wake services will be 7:00 PM Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Mass will be 10:00 AM Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
