Obituary

Services will be 10:00 AM Monday June 27 at Brookwood Baptist Church. Calvin Williams, 84, went to be with the Lord June 24, 2011. He was born Sept. 10, 1926 in Sherwood, TX to Joe & Clara Williams. During WWII, Calvin honorably served his country in the US Merchant Marines. After serving his country, he graduated from Baylor Univ. and earned his Masters Degree from Southwestern Theological Seminary. On Dec. 15, 1950, he married the love of his life, Ruby Ann Tepe at the First Baptist Church in Turnersville, TX and together shared more than 60 years of marriage. Calvin dedicated his life to serving the Lord and others as a minister at Crossroads & Foster Baptist churches and was most recently a faithful member of Brookwood Baptist Church. In his spare time, Calvin also enjoyed the outdoors working with cattle & horses and going to the lake fishing, but his most precious times where those spent with his family & helping others. He was a man of exceptional integrity & character who had a big heart for God and reaching souls for Christ. He will be deeply missed here on earth, but we rejoice in knowing he is with his Heavenly Father now.
