IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John Alton
Woodruff
December 18, 1955 – August 3, 2023
Celebration of life to be announced by the family at a later date.
John "Johnny" Alton Woodruff, Jr., 67, passed away following a short battle with cancer, at his home with his family by his side, on August 3, 2023.
Johnny was born in Pauls Valley, OK on December 18, 1955 to John Alton & Sharon Ann (Denson) Woodruff. Johnny lived in Lindsay and started his early education in the Lindsay community.
The family then moved to Oklahoma City, where he attended grade school and junior high school. He then moved to Mustang, where he went on to graduate from Mustang High School in 1973.
Johnny joined the U. S. Navy in 1974. He faithfully served his country and was honorably discharged in 1977.
Johnny received a diploma from Moore-Norman Vocational-Technical School in July 1984 for electronics. He also furthered his education in electronics, by attending O.C.C.C., as well.
Johnny was a gifted craftsman, and there was no challenge or task he was afraid to handle. He was able to work as an independent contractor most all of his life, while he specialized in painting & drywall work. Johnny was accomplished in all disciplines in the construction field, and was sought after by many homeowners & business owners, when planning a remodel.
Johnny pursued the love of his life Patty, for some 16 years before she finally agreed & committed to his proposal in 2006. They were officially united, ultimately. They enjoyed 33 years of love & happiness together.
Johnny loved to party with his friends. He enjoyed darts, cornhole, horseshoes, fishing, golf and skiing. He also enjoyed 34 years of spending time at his and Patty's lakehouse, almost every weekend. He lived life to the fullest. Always the life of the party, and always willing to help anyone in need.
Although Johnny left this earth too soon, nothing can ever take away the love we all hold in our hearts for him, may he rest in peace.
