Viewing will be held 4-8 PM Wednesday, September 11, 2024 with the family present to greet friends from 4-6 PM at the funeral home. Services to celebrate and honor Yvonne's life will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, September 12, 2024 at the South Walker Church of Christ, 5217 S. Walker Ave, in OKC. Burial will follow at the Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City, OK.

Jonnie Yvonne Morgan, fondly known as Yvonne by her family and friends, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at the age of 88. Yvonne was born to John Wilburn Kimmel and Otsie Eula (Powers) Kimmel on February 19, 1936 in Rocky, Oklahoma. She met the love of her life, Lloyd Morgan, at a basketball game she was playing in. They were married on June 7, 1952. They raised three children: Danny, Darrel and Darla in the Oklahoma City area. She was a busy young mother who participated in P.T.A. and was a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts. She was very creative and talented. She painted and created woodworking crafts, sewed stuffed animals, and crafted flower arrangements. She also decorated for church and family gatherings, wedding and anniversaries. Because Yvonne so loved to travel, she took many trips with her family, often times camping along the way. Yvonne spent several years composing the Morgan genealogy and traveled to several family gravesites and courthouses to gather the information she needed. Yvonne was a longtime member of South Walker Church of Christ, where she participated in programs like Whiz Kids, World Bible Study, and Secret Sisters. She encouraged other with laughter, joking and her trademark sassy personality. Yvonne also sent personalized homemade cards for birthdays, sympathy, and for illnesses, She was fun loving and made sure that family gatherings included good food, followed by games like "Hand & Foot", Dominoes, Canasta, Spades, Mexican Dominoes and Wahoo. Yvonne lived a life filled with love, generosity and laughter. Yvonne will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her:
Husband of 53 years ~ Lloyd Morgan;
Parents ~ John Wilburn and Otsie Eula Kimmel;
Sisters ~ Olene Hanks and Billie Etris;
Son ~ Danny Morgan;
Grandsons ~ Jeremy and Bryan Morgan.
She also lost greatly loved brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, a niece and several nephews.
She is survived by her:
Sister ~ Nelda Boggs and her husband, Glenn;
Son ~ Darrel Morgan and his wife, Tracy;
Daughter ~ Darla Morgan;
Eight Grandchildren: Jimmy, Nena, Dustin, Kelli, Kim, Mellissa, Garrett and Kaitlyn;
Twenty Great Grandchildren;
Fifteen Great-Great Grandchildren.

The family will be present to greet friends from 4-6 PM at the funeral home.
