Obituary

Jordan Luke Raridon, lovingly referred to as "Jordi" by his wife, went to be with his Heavenly Father on February 12, 2025, at the age of 31.

Jordan was born on November 10, 1993 in Hemet, California, to Laura Nell Lieberman Fraser and Donald Fredrick Raridon II. As a child, Jordan was adventurous, silly, and rambunctious. He grew up enjoying the outdoorsy lifestyle, adventuring in the Idyllwild wilderness, catching lizards and snakes, and off-roading with his older brothers. Jordan spent summers with his cousins and siblings in Cherry Valley and Hemet, where he swam in the pool, played with the pack of family dogs, and ate drumsticks for breakfast while playing PlayStation. Jordan was protective of his younger siblings and loved to get a rise out of just about anyone. During his teenage years, Jordan had an active social life with his lifelong friends and siblings, who loved to walk to the local Walmart for snacks and mischief, played video games in the garage, and built computers. Jordan's friends and family lovingly remember him as fun and rambunctious. In 2011, Jordan graduated from Hemet High School in Hemet, California, where multiple family members also graduated. Later in his life, Jordan revisited higher education and earned his bachelor's degree in General Education with an emphasis in Information Technology at Southern New Hampshire University in 2020.

Beginning his career in the Army in 2012, Jordan served on active-duty for approximately four years as a Joint Fire Support Specialist. He also became a highly decorated combat-veteran, having served in Afghanistan before joining the Oklahoma Army National Guard in 2015. He continued his service in the guard, moving up through the ranks and taking on full-time employment as the 1-160th Field Artillery Battalion's Fire Support Detachment Supply NCO. This position was extremely challenging; with only himself and his supervisor supporting more than 120 Soldiers, he quickly adapted to the heavy workload and took on many responsibilities beyond the scope of his position and rank, including working multiple weekends away from home each month. Jordan left every unit he worked with better than he found it and served whenever and wherever a need arose. During a manning shortage, he stepped up to serve as the Joint Force Headquarters' Readiness Officer. Likewise, when the 45th Field Artillery Brigade Headquarters deployed, he also served as their rear-detachment Readiness Officer. As the 45th FAB Readiness Officer, Jordan supported mobilized Soldiers and their families back in Oklahoma. He participated in the planning and execution of high-visibility exercises and the demobilization of the 45th FAB while focusing solely on taking care of his Soldiers. He and his daughter Auri spent many long days at the 45th FAB Headquarters, and they quickly became family to all who knew them. He also worked for the JFHQ security office, and even after leaving that role, his sense of duty and compassion for the needs of others compelled him to continue helping that department in addition to his normal duties while their primary analyst was on parental leave. He went on to advance his career by commissioning as a warrant officer, and in January of 2025 graduated from the Field Artillery Warrant Officer Basic Course at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, as the Distinguished Honor Graduate.

All his life, Jordan was at his happiest playing video games with family and friends. Of the hundreds of games he played over the years, his all-time favorites were Total War: Warhammer II, Crusader Kings II, Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, World of Warcraft, Halo 3, and Gears of War 3. Similarly, one of Jordan's greatest joys in life was reading, and his favorite authors include J.R.R. Tolkien, Frank Herbert, and Dan Abnett. Everyone who knew him also knew that he was an unwavering fan of the bands Linkin Park and Audioslave. In all the former aspects, he kept his wife, and daughters close by his side to share and enjoy his hobbies and interests with him.

Jordan was known for his quick wit, dry sense of humor, intellect, and extraordinary work ethic. He was a loving and dedicated husband and father who spent as much time as possible with his wife and daughters, and he took his role as a Soldier and leader incredibly seriously. He was the embodiment of the Army Value Selfless-Service.

Jordan leaves behind his wife, Darcie Jane Raridon, and daughters Aurelia Wren Raridon, Anna Marlena Raatz, and Mina Alicia Smith, as well as his mother, Laura Nell Lieberman Fraser, both of his fathers, Donald Fredrick Raridon II and Mario Fraser, his grandmother Alice Olsen Seay and his siblings Kodiak Jude Lieberman Raridon, Lauren Dawn Raridon, Trevor Forrest Raridon, and Cory Fullen Raridon, Wyatt James Redlinger, and Michelle Alexis Mason, his beloved dogs, Mabel, Pearl, and Georgie, as well as many other extended family members and friends.

A funeral service to celebrate and honor Jordan's life will be held at 1300, Friday the 21st of February 2024 at St. Andrew Community Church, 2727 S.W. 119th Street Oklahoma City, OK with internment following at Heritage Burial Park at South Lakes, 4000 SW 119th St. Oklahoma City, OK.
