Jose Luis Romero-Gutierrez. Sr. passed away March 29, 2014 in OKC. He was born Sept 15, 1956 in Durango, Mexico to Antonio Romero-Marin & Antonia Gutierrez. He moved to the Oklahoma nearly 35 years ago from Chihuahua, Mexico where he grew up. He was a form carpenter by trade and worked for Flintco in OKC for over 20 years. His daily routine was to stop for coffee every day at the 7-11 on 66th & Western, where he & the staff were on a first name basis. He became friends with the staff there and they were very fond of each other. Jose loved working on his '51 Chevy Deluxe Coupe & enjoyed classic car restoration but overall just enjoyed working on cars. He & his son worked on many vehicles together as well, specifically three 64 Chevy Impalas. He spent a lot of time with his grandchildren and almost every Saturday he took them to McDonald's. He was a hard worker, devoted family man who enjoyed life. He will be deeply missed Jose was preceded in death by his: Father, Antonio Romero-Marin. Jose leaves behind his loving: Son, Jose Luis Romero, Jr. and his wife, Melinda; Daughter, Antonia Romero and her husband, Tony Castillo; Daughter, Heather Austin and her husband, Jason; Daughter, Jolynn Flores and her husband, Alberto; Mother, Antonia Gutierrez-Romero; Brothers: Roberto Romero and his wife, Emilia and Antonio Romero and his wife, Brisa; Sisters: Conseulo Ortiz and her husband, Manuel, Gloria Caudillo and her husband, Victor, Elena Romero, Patricia Cereceres and her husband, Oscar, and Yolanda Romero and her husband, Faustino; 11 grandchildren: Conner and Caden Austin, Monica and Alex Reynolds, Reyna and Michael Rodriguez, Izabel, Jazmin and Markoz Romero, Matthew Lopez, and Rubi Castillo; 2 great grandkids; Nieces and Nephews: Lillian y Grisel Romero, Claudia y Veronica Caudillo, Gerardo Rodriguez, Diana Ortiz, Marcos y Leslie Cereceres, Jessica, Antonio, Jesus y Angel Romero; 10 great nieces & nephews; Former wife, Debi Romero-Gaytan And many other family and friends.
