Joseph "Joe" D. Fee Jr. ,83, of Oklahoma City passed away Sunday, July 2, 2023 at Integris Southwest Medical Center, with his loving family near his side. After battling many medical issues for two months, he was called home by his Lord, Jesus Christ.
Joe was born in Waco, Texas on March 22, 1940 to Joseph Sr. and Tommie Fee. Joe and his family lived in Texas, California, Germany and Arkansas. He spent his teens in Fort Smith and graduated in 1957 from St. Anne's Academy in Fort Smith. Joe served on active duty in the United States Army. He was honorably discharged from active duty and served in the U.S. Army Reserve until his release as Lt. Colonel in 1993.
Joe earned his business degree from the University of Arkansas. He worked for the City of Oklahoma City in the Finance Department, Procurement Division as a Buyer from July 1984 to April 2005. He held other positions in the City of Oklahoma City over the course of his 30-year career. Before working for municipal government, Joe held other positions with various organizations such as a Director for the YMCA in Midwest City and managed school programs with the Oklahoma City school system.
Joe was a longtime member at Capitol Hill Assembly of God and loved his church family. He was a devout follower of Christ and always tried his best to lead his family in the path of righteousness. In his spare time, Joe enjoyed many hobbies, such as bowling, skiing, golf, and reading, and was an active member of the YMCA.
Joe was a loving husband, father and dear friend, and his presence will be deeply missed by all the lives he touched.
Joe was preceded in death by his Parents.
He leaves behind cherished memories with his
Wife, Margaret;
Daughter, Jennifer Louthan and husband John Leslie;
Daughter Jill Selby and husband Scott;
Son Joseph Fee, III and wife Gayla;
Sister, Rebecca Alice Gray & husband Jack, Sr.;
Six Grandchildren, Lael & husb. Reed, Zachariah, Victoria and husb. Christopher, Tanner & wife Sarah, Summer, & Joseph, as well as ten Great Grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended loving family members.
