Joyce Nell Kiespert, 87 of Oklahoma City, went to her heavenly resting place to be reunited with her husband Ernest Leroy Kiespert early Thursday morning, September 30, 2021. Joyce was born on November 20, 1933, in Temple, Oklahoma. After graduating from Temple High School in 1951, she married Ernest Leroy Kiespert in 1953 in San Diego, California, and remained married for more than 61 years until his death in 2014. She attended business school at Draughon's Business College in Wichita Falls, Texas, and began a lifelong career working in doctors offices for Dr. Opper and Dr. Forrest Olson, and ended her career with a 23-year long stint with Integris Southwest Medical Center. Joyce raised two children and was active in all aspects of their schooling as PTA President and PTA Secretary. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends, welcoming all to her house for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. Family vacations to Port Aransas on the Texas Gulf Coast were a cherished tradition, fishing, swimming and enjoying the island life. A dedicated and boisterous OU fan, Joyce loved all athletics programs, loudly cheering on her Sooners, whether in person or watching on TV. She also enjoyed trips to Vegas, the horse races in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and local casinos. Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Helen McCoy, brother, Bobby McCoy, and her husband, Ernest Leroy Kiespert. She leaves behind a daughter, Cindy Harris (Gary Gibson), son, Randy Kiespert (Kathy). Grandchildren: Katrina Harris, Olivia Breedlove (Jake), Baron Kiespert, Chevonne Kiespert, Kasey Kiespert, Matthew Catrain (Hillary), Jacob Catrain and Lucas Catrain. Great-grandchildren: Katelynn Meredith, Beckham Breedlove, Amelia Breedlove, Lucy Breedlove, Riley Catrain, Michael Catrain, Anna Catrain, Christian Catrain, and many other family and friends.
