Joyce
Sasnett
July 9, 1939 – March 21, 2026
Joyce Marie Sasnett, 86, was born on July 9, 1939, in Lawton, Oklahoma, to Dave Pulver and Annie Mae (Teems) Pulver. On March 21, 2026, she entered the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Following her graduation from Capitol Hill High School in 1957, Joyce began her career at Acme Tool in Oklahoma City. It was there that she raised her family and, in the late 1970s, met the love of her life, Marvin Sasnett. Their partnership eventually extended to their professional lives; in 1995, Joyce joined Marvin at Sasco Machine Shop, where they cherished the opportunity to work side-by-side every day. Joyce was also an active member of the community, participating in the Oklahoman’s Oilmen’s Fish Fry and Desk & Derricks. Upon their retirement in 2020, Joyce and Marvin embraced their love of travel. Together, they enjoyed many wonderful vacations with Village Tours, visiting destinations like Yellowstone National Park and Mackinaw Island, and frequenting shows in Branson. After Marvin’s passing in December 2022, Joyce continued her travels with the Village Tours group.
Throughout her life, Joyce found great joy in shopping, church activities, and helping Marvin with the India Shrine Dune Buggies. Above all, she loved talking on the phone and spending time with her family and friends.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Evelyn Grayson; her brother, Karl Pulver; her husband, Marvin Sasnett; and her daughters, June DeRousse and Jo Anne Weaver.
She is survived by her stepson, Ed Sasnett and his wife Carol; her stepdaughter, Kay Love and her husband Danny; and stepdaughter Brenda Sasnett. Her legacy also lives on through her sisters, Jean Lovelace and Ruth Ann Summar; as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
This list is a reflection of the great love she had for others and the deep love they held for her in return—a true testament to a life well lived. Lord Jesus, we thank you for the life of Joyce Sasnett. Amen.
