Judith Loree (Dawson) Love, was born 29 August 1944 in Cordell, Oklahoma, the fifth child of Hosey Virgle Dawson and Vernettie Lorene (Harbin) Dawson. Judi was called home by the Lord, on March 7, 2022, when she passed peacefully in her sleep.

Judi was born in Florence Hospital in Cordell, Oklahoma, the first of her family not born at home. The hospital was on the second floor of a department store. Judi's Daddy often teased her about her frequent clothes-shopping trips because she was born above a clothing store.

She began her school years at Foss school where she attended first through third grade. In 1962, she graduated from Burns Flat High School, where she made lifelong friends. While at Burns Flat, she played basketball for three years. She was on the Student Council her senior year and in the National Honor Society, multiple years. Judi was Editor of the yearbook her senior year and was on the school newspaper's staff her Junior and Senior years.

After high school, she attended Southwestern State College (now Southwestern Oklahoma State University) in Weatherford, Oklahoma.

She met John William Love at the Church of Christ in Burns Flat where he was an Airman stationed at Clinton Sherman Air Force Base. They were married on Christmas night in 1965. His orders took them to Germany in 1966, Illinois in 1969, and Texas in 1970 where their marriage ended in 1978. Judi and their son, Christopher, moved to Oklahoma, where they were always surrounded by loving family.

After arriving in Oklahoma, Judi began what would become a lifelong career at Southwestern Stationery & Bank Supply, starting with ten years as the receptionist then thirty-plus years as the Executive Assistant to the President of the company.

Through her work at Southwestern, Judi became a part of the Oklahoma City Chapter of Executive Women International and considered her 1998 term as the Chapter's President to be an amazing, fulfilling, and very special part of her chosen career.

Judi loved to travel, especially in the Rocky Mountains where she and Chris often vacationed with her brothers and their families. They all loved their many family trips to the San Juan Mountains in Colorado and the Jeep trails through the passes around Silverton, Ouray, and Telluride, along with family time spent in cabins in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains near Tres Ritos and Taos, New Mexico.

Judi is survived by her greatest blessing and achievement, her son Christopher William Love and his wife Dawn Renee (Kellogg) Love and their precious daughter Alyssa Dawn Love as well as her two remaining brothers Bruce William (& Alice Ruth Hicklin) Dawson and Stanley Keith (& Linda Kay Smith) Dawson.

She was preceded in death by her parents Hosey Virgle and Vernettie Lorene (Harbin) Dawson. Also preceding her in death were three siblings: brother Olin Gary Dawson, sister Frances Dawson Gilley, and brother Hosey Virgle Dawson Jr & his wife Carolyn Sue (Sherrell) Dawson; and two nieces and two nephews: Rebecca Lynn Ainsworth; Joe Dawson, Gary Keith Dawson, and Peggy Yvonne Dawson Herron.

We are the new growth that springs from the seeds of our ancestors. In each generation, new life shines forth after our forebears have moved on. Each lifespan goes from dust to dust. We are their monuments, reminding the world that they were here and they left their mark in time and on this place.
