Obituary

Julia Ann Pulley passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024. Julie was born July 4, 1960 to Roger and Phoebe Prikryl in Dallas, Texas. She came in with a bang! She leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer (Pulley) and Bretton Mattingly, and grandson Samuel Mattingly, as well as her sisters Jane Prikryl and Jill Prikryl, two nephews and several cousins.

Julie is preceded in death by her son, Joshua Matthew Pulley, parents Roger and Phoebe Prikryl, brother Joseph Prikryl, and recently, her long-time partner, Max Smith.

Julie was a generous spirit, hard-working and resilient. She was an avid fan of Oklahoma football as well as the Kansas City Chiefs, rarely missing a game for either team. She enjoyed cooking and was always found in the kitchen cooking up an abundant and delicious meal. As the family matriarch, she had knack for bringing people together around the table, and came to life when she was hosting friends and family for big celebrations, be it holidays or football games. Always the hostess, even in the hospital she would be sure to offer her doctors and nurses a soda or a glass of water. She enjoyed gardening and proudly kept a pristine yard with beautiful flower beds. As a Christian, she was baptized in the church in 1997 and held a deeply personal relationship with Jesus. We will miss her boisterous and brilliant personality.

In lieu of flowers, please consider sending a donation to Crossroads hospice of Moore, Oklahoma.

There will be a memorial service on September 13, 2024 at 1:00pm at the First Moore Baptist Church
